PTO SCHOLARSHIPS

PTO Senior Scholarships are to recognize graduating seniors who have gone unrecognized during their high school years. They should also have demonstrated hard work, motivation, and involvement. Honor Roll and GPA are NOT factors. All of the PTO Scholarships are to be given to students who have NOT received or are receiving any other scholarships, awards or nominations, monetary or not, from Upper Dublin High School, the Upper Dublin School District, or any substantial athletic scholarships from colleges or universities they will be attending.

(Children of UDHS Administration, Staff, UDSD Board of Directors, and current PTO Executive Officers are not eligible to receive scholarship monies from the UDHS PTO)

Each year the scholarship committee choses the recipients of all senior awards. All seniors are included in the discussion and the awards selection committee consists of administration, teachers and school counselors.  

One scholarship must be given to a student in each of the following categories:

1.) The Arts (from one of the following: theatre, music or art)

2.) School Involvement (eg. clubs, SGA, athletics)

3.) Vocation (can be either a student from Eastern or a student going on to a vocational school (eg. culinary institute)

4.) Learning Support (must have been in learning support at some point during the student's high school career) 

THE STUDENT MUST HAVE ABOVE AVERAGE SERVICE TO THE SCHOOL AND OUTSTANDING CHARACTER TRAITS.
